With almost 25 years experience in the flat roofing market, Jimmy Widdrington, has fitted enough roofs and used enough roofing products to know what works and what doesn't work. From traditional felt roofs using hot bitumen to bond layers of felt, to the decking or insulation to high performance roofing felts to modern glassfibre roofing systems. He has applied these products to council properties, hotels, golf clubs and hundreds of domestic properties.
All these roofing materials have there good and bad points from the traditional flat roofing where you have the danger of working with bitumen heated to 200 degrees with a boiler needed in the customers garden. With glassfibre you need nice weather during the complete fitting process and we all know what our weather is like so in the summer of 2007 Jimmy set out to find a roofing system that was not only an exceptional product but cleaner and safer to install for both him and his customers.
It took a while but when he found RUBBERBOND EPDM FLAT ROOFING he knew he had found exactly what he was looking for. After many hours of discussions with the distributor FLEX-R in Highwycome he completed the training course on April 2008 and is now a registered and approved contractor for this exceptional roofing product.
Three years have passed since jimmy became an approved contractor for the RUBBERBOND EPDM flat roofing system and all his initail expectations regarding this exceptional roofing product have been fullfillied.
"We knew when we completed the training course that the RUBBERBOND system was exceptional" says jimmy "but now that we have installed the product all over the north east of scotland,Invernessshire and the west coast of scotland this has been confirmed not only to us but also to our many customers who have benifitted from my our choice of product.
When jimmy who has been joined in the family bussiness by his son Michael receives and enquiry from a prospective customer he will visit the premises as soon as possible to carry out a free survey,provide a detailed specification and a written quotation for the customers consisderation.
For customers many customers who accept the quotation a date will be given for the installation to be carried out and all efforts will be made to keep to that date although the weather can play havoc with the fitting schedule, all installations are carried out to the highest possible standards,the customers premises are treated with the upmost respect and kept tidy at all times.
This attitude to quality and service has helped establish jimmy and michael as the most experienced and dependable installers of RUBBERBOND in the N E of scotland.
